insidebayarea.comPersonal seat licenses now a thing of the past for Oakland team By Paul T. Rosynsky, STAFF WRITER OAKLAND — Football fans who refused to join the Raider Nation during the personal seat license era now will be able to come back to the coliseum as the team begins today to sell season tickets to the general public. After giving former PSL holders a month's worth of exclusive rights to purchase 2006 season tickets, the team will open its ticket inventory to those who either never bought a PSL or let it lapse during the last 11 years. Despite the month's worth of sales, team officials said seats are still available for fans seeking to see the Silver and Black in person. But with personal seat licenses a thing of the past, a new pricing plan and, in some cases, cheaper tickets, the team hopes to make the ticket an attractive purchase. The new pricing plan will offer tickets in eight categories ranging from $25 to $100 plus a $1 charge that goes toward school sports programs and county social services. It remains unclear how many tickets already have been sold since team officials refused give details about last month's sales. But team CEO Amy Trask said there was a "tremendous amount of interest." Nevertheless, she said, every section of the stadium still has seats available, although some sections only have single seats. Fans interested in purchasing tickets can contact the team at 1 (800) RAIDERS or on the Web at raidernation.com.
