Well today didn't go exactly as I had planned. Dumb f*ck that I am I
figured I could just roll up to the HOT and park where I felt like it. I
spent at least 35 minutes on the 66th Ave. exit and was told when I got to
the light that without a Parking Pass I had to park in overflow. For fat
people that had to be 5 miles away so I left my cooler and camera and
venured out to the HOT. Once there I finally hooked up with Sac D and his
lovely wife Jayne. Thanks for the beer Sac and the advanced copy of your
latest Alegate CD, I listened to it on the way home. After about a half
hour there I ventured back over to to lot D where I finally met Pirate,
raider Jeff, Angela, and Steve. For whatever reason I was a little nervous
meeting all these guys but I can honestly say I enjoyed myself and I hope to
hang with you all again in the future. Special thanks to Steve and Angela
for taking me over to the raiderNation tailgate spot where I got a chance to
briefly see Woody and his famous BBQ as he was packing it up. I sat in 146
27 seat 5. I had 3 Niner fans on my left. All raiderfan in front of me and
behind me. A mixture of raider and niner fan to the right of me. I watched
the first have on the big screen as I kept thinking these people would sit
down eventually. Come half time I spent forever in the bathroom line where
I was entertained with a discussion on the Pisser line and the nutster line.
All the interaction I saw between raiderfan and Ninerfan was positive. I
did get smacked in the forehead once in the second half as I was in the sun
and I had my hand up trying to block the sun when the raiders made a big
play. raiderfan in front of me gives me an unexpected high five all but
smacking me in the forehead. He says "sorry dude you had your hand up." No
problem. Walking over to Pirates I did have raiderfan approach me and he
was a little f**ked up, he says "I hope you kick better today!" I suppose
he thought I looked like Sebass. Whatever raider Jeff put in my drink still
had me buzzed when I made my way to Outback. They all looked at me like I
was from a foreign planet when I told them I just wanted a coke.
Thanks all.
For the record my vibe of 24-20 Niners was off by a point.
