www.raiders.com - November 30, 2003 The Oakland Raiders have teamed up with the United States Marine Corps once again for the 2003 Toys for Tots program. Marine Corps Reserves will be on hand at the November 30 game between the Raiders and the Denver Broncos. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to Network Associates Coliseum on game day. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Tim Brown and several other Raider players are scheduled to appear at three separate Raider Image locations to sign autographs in exchange for a toy donation to the Toys for Tots program. Details will be published on Raiders.com as soon as they are available. The Toys for Tots program will continue with the Raiders December 14 contest against Baltimore as fans are also encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy and drop off prior to entering to Network Associates Coliseum. According to the Toys for Tots official web site, over the past 55 years, the U.S. Marines have distributed almost 285,000,000 toys to nearly 139,000,000 needy children throughout the Nation. In 1995, the Secretary of Defense approved Toys for Tots as an official program of the U.S. Marine Corps and as an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve.
