www.examiner.comBy: J.L. Herrera Sebastian Janikowski is staying with the Oakland Raiders for seasons to come. The leading scorer of the Raiders signed a five year extension with Silver-and-Black. It was reported on Friday that Janikowski signed a contract almost worth $19 million. The contract makes Janikowski as the highest paid kicker or punter in the NFL league. The 35-year-old kicker is entering his 14th season with the Oakland Raiders. He is also the leading all-time leading scorer. He’s been the leading scorer for the Raiders for 13 straight seasons. Janikowski is mostly remembered for his league record-tying field goal, 63 yards, against the Denver Broncos in September of 2011. When the Raiders drafted the kicker in the 2000 NFL Draft, Sebastian was their first pick, 17th overall. Many analysts considered that gutsy move by Al Davis; however, the kicker has proven that he was well worth it. Sebastian Janikowski will be with the Oakland Raiders for five more years. That should be enough for him to help the Raiders possibly reach the Super Bowl! Just win baby!
