profootballtalk.nbcsports.comby Josh Alper We all know that Kellen Winslow Jr. is a soldier, but could he also be a Raider? Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Oakland has expressed interest in the tight end, who was given an honorable discharge from the Patriots after catching one pass in one game for them during the 2012 season. According to Rapoport, Winslow is “finally healthy” and wants to continue his career after basically sitting out last year. The Raiders just lost Brandon Myers to the Giants, which means they are in the market for a tight end. They don’t have much money to spend, but it is hard to imagine Winslow demanding much money at this point in his career. The condition of his knees has been an issue for years and no team is going to pay much more than the minimum on the off chance that this is the year Winslow is able to remain healthy. For a low-risk signing, though, the Raiders could do worse. After all, it never hurts to have a soldier on your side.
