www.nbcbayarea.com/By Sajid Farooq The greatest NFL player to never make the Hall of Fame will be auctioning of a part of his career. Former Raiders' great Ray Guy will sell his rings from Super Bowl XI, XV and XVIII next week. The legendary punter is being forced to auction the items by a judge after Guy filed for bankruptcy. The money raised from the auction will go to settle some of Guy's debts. The punter played for both the Oakland and Los Angeles Raiders from 1973 to 1986, where he won his Super Bowl rings. He was a seven time Pro Bowl selection and in 1994 Guy was voted to the NFL's 75th Anniversary Team. Every year when football's hall of fame inductions are announced, Guy's name becomes the center of controversy. He is widely considered the greatest punter the game has ever seen and while he annually makes a list of finalists for the hall, Guy has never been voted in. Guy’s rings will be showcased to the public at the 32nd Annual National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago from Aug. 3 to Aug. 7. The rings are estimated to sell between $75,000 and $90,000 and each one comes with a letter of authenticity from Guy.

I understand that Ray is now in the Hall of Fame. I wonder if he DID sell those rings.
