(AP) St. Louis Rams cornerback Jason Sehorn was released from the critical care unit of St. Johns Mercy Medical Center Burn Unit today, after treatment for third degree burns suffered over his entire body on the closing play of the Rams upset loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Doctors credit quick thinking by the team training staff with saving Sehorn's life. With Sehorn still smoldering on the field, team trainers saved his life by quickly covering him with healthy serving of butter and grape jelly.
