(PHOENIX, AZ) January 7, 2004
The Arizona Cardinals announced today that they have signed former Viking coach Dennis Green to a five year deal, and have included former Different Strokes child-star Gary Coleman in the package. Green has been working in tandem with the diminutive Coleman, where Green watches the action on the field while Coleman tracks the bench personnel from a kaboose on Green's back.
This real-life "Mini-Me" has been a very successful arrangement for Green and Coleman. Says the long-time NFL coach, "It's another pair of eyes for me. And as a head coach you need as much help as you can get. I've also lost 12 pounds since I started carrying him around, so it's a win- win situation for me - and Gary needed the work"
Said Coleman to his portly partner............."What you talkin 'bout, Dennis?"
