The Raiders have looked far and wide for a long-term solution at quarterback since Rich Gannon retired after the 2004 season. Here is a glance at seven draft picks used on quarterbacks or in trades involving quarterbacks since 2006:
-- The Raiders selected JaMarcus Russell with the No. 1 pick of the 2007 NFL draft. He was released after only three seasons and posted a 7-18 record as a starter.
-- The Raiders traded a 2012 fourth-round draft pick to the Washington Redskins for Jason Campbell. He enjoyed moderate success in his two seasons.
-- The Raiders forfeited a 2012 third-round draft pick so that they could select Terrelle Pryor in the third round of the NFL supplemental draft. He has started one game so far.
-- The Raiders traded a 2012 first-round draft pick and a 2013 second-rounder to the Cincinnati Bengals for Carson Palmer. He posted an 8-16 record as the starter.
-- The Raiders traded a 2014 fifth-round draft pick and a 2015 conditional draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks for Matt Flynn, who has made only two starts in his five-year NFL career.
