According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Brett Favre is at an impasse with the Green Bay Packers and is now receptive to talking to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers about a possible trade.
A Tampa radio station, WDAE 620-AM, is reporting the Packers have called a 6 p.m. news conference to address the Favre situation.
Favre still says he would like to be traded to either the Chicago Bears or Minnesota Vikings, but the Packers have rejected that request.
