ATLANTA (AP) -All NFL rookies will visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the next three months as part of their league orientation.
The tour will include talks by former NFL players and members of the Hall of Fame staff in Canton, Ohio. The idea behind the visit comes from Michael Irvin. He suggested it to commissioner Roger Goodell last summer when the former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver was inducted in the hall.
The Oakland Raiders will make the first outing on May 28. Rookies from the 49ers and Vikings will conclude the main part of the tours June 28. Rookies from Indianapolis and Washington, who play in the Hall of Fame game Aug. 3 will not visit until that weekend.
